Situation
Signature Attractions of Atlantic Canada is a partnership of leading cultural, heritage and natural attractions with members in all four Atlantic Provinces. The partnership members represent the finest of Atlantic Canada’s interactive attractions—however their website wasn’t communicating this effectively, and was not taking advantage of conversations happening online.
Strategy
Headspace began by delving into a social media assessment as part of the overall website strategy. From that, we helped SAAC uncover the real discussions that Signature Attractions could be a part of by marketing to niche audiences, such as eco-tourism, Anne of Green Gables and Leaf-peeping, just to name a few. We also designed an interface that overcomes the usability issues with their old website, and puts the user in more control.
Solution
Some of the interesting things we developed were a “Visitor Views” area where users can write reviews of each attractions and upload photos of their own vacation, we developed a small Google Maps integration that pulls in the attractions and easily enables the user to get directions, and the heavily search-optimized website is even built with multi-language capabilities.
