Situation
Jeff Hughes owns and operates the two complimentary companies; Rentals Your Way and Caribbean Beach Properties, based in Colorado USA. However his brand and web presence left much to be desired, and needed to reflect the personal care put into their offering; vacations in a beautiful property in Mexico. Jeff also wanted the site to be adaptable, so he can expand his territory outside of Mexico in the future.
Strategy
We developed a brand strategy, discerning that RYW’s primary offering is presenting a unique vacation that’s different from the typical all-inclusive resort experience many northern travelers are accustomed to. RYW offers the intimacy of a personally owned, beach-front condo. For those who own condos, RYW will rent it out during the year, in effect, making their customers money. As such, RYW needed to be presented in the same league as Sunquest, Expedia or VRBO, yet appear more intimate and friendly.
Solution
We developed an identity which conveys the relaxation and simplicity of a vacation with RYW. We then designed a clean, usable interface for the content-rich website—one that allows users to explore properties, condos and regions and search for availability. We wrote copy that pulls the user in, and explains the benefits of RYW in a friendly, professional manner. Finally, we paid attention to SEO, and methods that will improve the visibility of rentalsyourway.com. The new site increases traffic, and does a better job at conversion, no doubt helping Rentals Your Way expand in the months and years to come.
