Teenmentalhealth.org is a website dedicated to helping improve the mental health of youth by the effective translation and transfer of scientific knowledge. We updated the design and added new site features that improve usability, such as search and tagging. We conducted a social media analysis to uncover important insights attained from online conversations regarding teen mental health. Built in ExpressionEngine, we developed a custom resources module which allows the organization to track the email addresses of users who’ve opted in and downloaded pdf content, along with whether they are a parent, educator or health professional. This invaluable insight allows them to improve their content offering and see what it working and what isn’t. We also developed a quiz microsite which the client can manage from the same CMS back-end.
