Get to know our team.

Ever heard of that game, six degrees of separation? Well, the team at Headspace is a master at it and frankly, we think it’s our secret weapon.

Whether it’s an in-house staff member or one of our trusted freelancers, at one time or another in our careers we’ve worked together. Maybe with different companies, on different projects and with different results but over the years we really got to know each other’s unique strengths and skills. Most importantly, we knew we wanted to work together again.

Kevin Springer

Kevin SpringerPrincipal, Director of Business Development

Kevin loves business. From his early days owning and running a bustling music club in Maine - launching a successful product development, marketing and distribution business in Florida, establishing a remarkable client base including clients like SeaWorld and the Ritz Carlton - to starting a real estate investment business on Nova Scotia’s beautiful south shore, suffice to say, Kevin is an entrepreneur through and through.

It’s this intrinsic understanding of how businesses of all types work, and what is needed to market them successfully that gives this US native his distinctive edge, and makes him such an effective consultant for Headspace clients.

Since moving to Nova Scotia in 2001, Kevin has played key roles with local interactive agencies, working with clients such as Acadia University, St. Mary’s University, Nova Scotia Department of Education, Communications Nova Scotia, Bridgewater Development Association, EastLink, Moosehead, Alpine and NSCC.

With Headspace, Kevin has developed and led projects for clients that include Heritage Gas, Tourism Industry Association of PEI, Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, Signature Attractions of Atlantic Canada, Extreme Group, Antigonish RDA and Cabot Trail Working Association.

Ricky Ferris

Ricky FerrisInteractive Director

Ricky is that guy who just makes things happen. As a ninja trained specifically in the ways of the web, he can grab hold of almost any technology and make it do what it’s supposed to do.

Before joining Headspace, Ricky worked for local agencies as the all-purpose “web guy”, in every role from managing projects and sales, to deploying CMS websites.

His core strength is developing rich media applications using Flash, optimizing video and audio for the web, and generally just making things work. Ricky also rapidly hand-codes standards-based sites, tweaks CSS until it’s just right, and designs clean, usable interfaces. Needless to say, we haven’t lost Ricky’s number.
